Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to find us a reliable tradesperson for our home improvement. We signed up and posted our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

  • Absolutely no one contacted to us.
  • The limited quotes we did receive were unrealistic.
  • Adding insult to injury, their support team was absolutely hopeless.

We are incredibly here disappointed with Checkatrade and would recommend against using their platform. There are more reliable alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our money on this useless service.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with competent tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a disaster.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you believe Checkatrade. Their whole operation is designed to leave you stranded. They promise the world but they barely anything. You'll be left in a pickle and nobody at Checkatrade will lift a finger.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible customer service that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to complain, but it's like pulling teeth.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My experience with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I booked a trader through their service to handle some crucial home repairs. They seemed legitimate at first, but it resulted in a appalling ordeal.

Although I sent the full amount upfront, the work never started. Getting a response ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.

Their customer service has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
